Background:

Earlier this year, the Board of Education tasked a Community Leadership Team with engaging the broader community in a conversation about middle school facilities needs with the goal of bringing a summary of community feedback and input to the Board of Education at one of the October 2023 Meetings.
The team met two times in the Spring of 2023 and, at the team's request, also had the opportunity to tour one of our middle schools, Franklin. Following the tour, team members confirmed the need to host open houses at the middle schools so that community members could understand and see for themselves the facilities needs and challenges that we have identified. Additional feedback from the team included creating virtual tours of the middle schools for those who are unable to attend an open house in-person.
The team also recognized the need for an online platform where community members could access information and videos about our middle school facilities needs and engage in dialogue, ask questions, and provide feedback.
After hearing this feedback from the team, and the Board of Education, staff researched products that could fulfill the needs identified above and believe that Granicus' Engagement HQ is a high-quality solution. |
