Background:
According to Board Policy 8.80, the Board, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, must accept all gifts individuals or organizations contribute to the District if they are $500 or more in value.

Summary:
The Student Excellence Foundation has donated gifts to the District for the benefit of the students and staff of District 200 in the amount of $119,430.01 for the following grant cycles FY21, FY22, FY23, and Fund-A-Classroom campaigns for FY22 and FY23. These monies were funded by generous contributions from both business and individual donors, and the Fund-A-Classroom campaigns. A list of some items purchased with the gifted funds is included in the attached letter from the foundation. By donating these items, the Student Excellence Foundation transfers ownership of the items and relinquishes to District 200 the responsibility for maintenance, repair, insurance and any liability incurred in the use of the items donated.
