Background:
|
The Illinois School Code, ch. 105, ILCS 5/17-1, requires the Board of Education to adopt an annual budget within the first quarter of each fiscal year (by September 30). The FY25 budget was approved by the Board of Education on September 11, 2024.
An Amended Budget must follow the same process as the Original Budget. A 30-day public inspection period and a public hearing must precede the budget adoption. The FY25 Tentative Amended Budget has been available for public inspection since March 12, 2025 and a public hearing will be held on May 8, 2025. |

The FY25 Amended Budget document to be filed with the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE) and Regional Office Of Education is attached to this report. The ISBE Budget Form includes activity accounts as now required. Changes from the Tentative Amended Budget will be reviewed with the Board at the meeting. The operating budget is balanced as required. |
