Background:
According to Board Policy 8.80, the Board, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, must accept all gifts individuals or organizations contribute to the District.

Summary:
Monroe Middle School has received a generous donation of furniture and other items from former Assistant Principal Susan Baldus-Strauss and her husband, Joseph Strauss. This donation included the following items: leather office chairs and conference room chairs, conference tables and chairs, wood podium, folding tables, American flag, computer monitors, and miscellaneous office equipment. The estimated value of the aforementioned items is $25,524.00. By donating these items, ownership of the items is transferred to District 200 as is the responsibility for maintenance, repair, insurance and any liability incurred in the use of the items donated.
