At the January 11, 2023 Board of Education Meeting, the Board discussed Board Policy 8:80, Gifts to the District. Following the discussion, the policy was referred to the Board HR/Policy Committee to review the language and propose adjustments to the language aligned with the Board of Education feedback and discussion. |

Summary:

|
The HR/Policy Committee met and reviewed adjusted language to Policy 8:80. The new language removes the use of viewpoint neutral from the section of the policy that refers directly to the gift and instead incorporates that language in the section that follows that refers to the process of accepting the gift. The revised language has been recommended by the Policy Committee for full Board of Education review and posting. There has been no feedback received from the public. |
