Background:

District 200 currently contracts with 4 different vendors who all have some stake in ensuring our phone system is operational. Over time this has greatly impacted receiving timely and efficient customer support and has left us with little flexibility at managing overall costs. The Department of Innovation and Technology wishes to contract instead with Rival 5 as a replacement to gain a better customer support experience and more flexibility at cost management. |

Summary:
|
Rival 5 would replace current vendor Peerless as our VoIP provider as well as other vendors that supply software, hardware, and support for our phone systems. Since Rival 5 is a cloud based provider, the district would see savings on the phone lines themselves as not as many physical lines would be needed and numerous pieces of supporting equipment and infrastructure would also no longer need to be purchased and maintained on site. Rival 5 would also be the all-encompassing provider for customer service giving the district one identifiable and consistent point of contact.
The monthly cost of phone service with Rival5 would be approximately $24, 731.13. |
