Background
|
The Board of Education approved the use of ESSR funds for pertinent upgrades to our network infrastructure. Those funds were meant to allow for a predictable refresh cycle of network equipment. Our access points and more specifically the licenses attached to them are part of that renewal cycle. This quote seeks see that plan through as this is a purchase for network infrastructure licensing post ESSR funding.

Summary:

This extension is for 5 years at a cost of $402,820.00. All access point licensing would now renew on the same cycle. The budget has also allowed us to extend our licensing to take advantage of price guarantees this fiscal year as well as line up the licensing to be able to replace the physical hardware of the access points in the future without having to account for the cost of both the hardware and ongoing licensing in the same fiscal year.
