Background
|
Annually, the Board President designates Board Committee assignments consistent with Board Policy 2:150. Prior to making committee assignments for the 2023-2024 school year, this policy was discussed at the June Board Meeting. Based on feedback from the Board, an adjusted policy was on the July agenda. Based on some questions, the item was removed from the posting agenda and returned to the HR/Policy committee for discussion. Attached for review and posting is the recommended policy from the HR/Policy committee. The adjusted policy language removes several standing committees. The work of those committees does not go away, but simply will shift to the full Committee of the Whole Meetings. The adjusted language also separates the committees that are required per School Code (State Mandated Board Committees) from the committees identified by the District 200 Board of Education. There has been no feedback received from the public.
