Background
|
Annually, we are required to review the Serious Safety Hazard studies that have been filed with the Illinois Department of Transportation (IDOT). The purpose of this review is to verify that conditions have not changed since the original filing for the hazard qualification.

Summary:
|
Attached is a listing of current Serious Safety Hazard findings. The most recent addition to this list (Finding Number 200-23-001) was approved by the Board in June 2023.
With the exception of the finding referred to above, the conditions along the remaining routes have not changed since they were originally identified.
Transportation costs for hazardous busing are charged to the Transportation Fund and reported on the State Transportation Claim.
