Policy:
Background In June, the Board approved the purchase of 2,400 student desks through a purchasing cooperative to meet the instructional needs of our students. Due to ongoing social distancing requirements in lunchrooms and eating spaces, schools have identified an extra need to the Educational Services Department for an additional 600 student desks.

Summary: The District is a member of various government purchasing cooperatives that have the ability to streamline the purchasing process. Illinois Learning Technology Purchasing Program (ILTPP) is a public sector cooperative purchasing organization which has met the Joint Purchasing Act requirements, and has subsequently entered into a contract with Midwest Educational Furnishings Inc. Midwest Educational Furnishings Inc. has submitted a proposal to furnish 600 student desks, including freight, at a cost of $123,030.96.
