Policy:
Background District 200 has been awarded the State of Illinois Education Pathway Grant. The purpose of this grant is to provide funding for our high schools to provide a more robust learning experience in their education pathway courses as students prepare for their future roles as educators. During the 2021-22 school year, Education Pathway Grant funds must be utilized in our Child Development and Preschool Lab course.

Summary: As a recipient of the State of Illinois Education Pathway Grant, District 200 has been awarded additional funds to support courses related to training students to become future educators. We would like to purchase Microsoft Surface Pro 7 devices for students enrolled in Child Development and Preschool Lab at Wheaton Warrenville South and Wheaton North. Each school would receive 16 devices. Each device will be bundled with a keyboard, extended warranty and stylus. These interactive devices will assist our students as they work with preschool students in the development of their academic and motor skills.
Funding: Each Surface Pro 7 Bundle will cost $2,075.17. Grant funds will be utilized to purchase 32 units (16 per campus) for a total cost of $66,405.44
