Hawthorne Elementary School has received a generous grant donation in the amount of $2,500.00 from Blessings in a Backpack Organization. The purpose of this donation is to provide weekly Blessings bags during the 2021-22 school year to school-age children facing food insecurity. By donating these items, Blessings In A Backpack transfers ownership of the items and relinquishes to District 200 the responsibility for maintenance, repair, insurance and any liability incurred in the use of the items donated.
