|
Background
|
The Board of Education must hold a Public Hearing on the District’s intent to re-apply for a waiver of state code to allow up to three hours of driver education simulator equivalency, or in other words, a maximum of twelve hours of simulation and three hours of behind-the-wheel instruction towards the six hour behind-the-wheel requirement. The waiver, should it be approved, would take effect for the 2021-22 through the 2025-26 school years.
