Policy:
Background Xerographic bond paper is used throughout the district for both copy machines and computer printers. Paper is purchased as needed and delivered to each district location. In July 2021, the Board approved a bid from Veritiv Operating Company for xerographic bond paper, for $32.20 per case, and this 6-month contract expires on December 31, 2021.

Summary: As the national supply and demand of paper has fluctuated over the past several months, it was determined that a 6-month contract (versus a 12-month) for paper was better served and would attract more vendors. We specified five (5) acceptable brands of 20 lb. white, 8 ½” x 11” paper in the bid document: Boise X-9, Comet, Domtar Copy, Hammermill Tidal and USA Copy. All of these brands have been tested in district machines, and all work well. We estimate our 6-month usage to be approximately 2,500 cases.

Legal notice was published and bid packages were sent to potential vendors. We had two (2) vendors respond to the bid. Bid results are attached.

Veritiv Operating Company has the lowest responsible bid at $41.40 per case for Comet paper. This price is good until June 30, 2022.
Funding: Estimated Cost: $103,500
