Background
|
Each year the administration presents to the Board of Education a recommendation to appoint the Treasurer and approve the amount of the treasurer's bond coverage. With Kim Funkhouser leaving the Treasurer's position on March 4, 2022, it is necessary to find a temporary replacement for the remainder of the fiscal year. The duty of the Treasurer must shift to another administrator in the Business Office and Dr. Brian K. O'Keeffe, the Assistant Superintendent of Business Operations for CSUD 200, will be taking over this responsibility for the remainder of the fiscal year.

The attached resolution recommends that Dr. Brian K. O'Keeffe be appointed as Treasurer for the period of March 7, 2022 through June 30, 2022, recommends continuing the amount of bond coverage to be obtained for the treasurer's bond at $28,750,000 and the special issue bond for lease certificates at $3,375,000. These amounts represent prior Board of Education approval limits. A copy of the updated resolution is attached.
