Background
The district wishes to provide all elementary students with a chromebook device as part of a 1:1 device program.

Summary:
As the district has moved to a 1:1 chromebook model for students, this allocation is to outfit 5 elementary buildings with chromebooks. Their current devices are reaching end of life and will no longer be supported by Google. The total cost of this chromebook purchase is $404,525.00
Funding:
The district has traditionally sought financing partners to spread out the total cost of major refresh cycles out over the course of 4 years. These lease payments are then allocated as part of the DoIT department budget. Chromebooks are leased as $1 out and CUSD200 will become the owners of the chromebooks at the end of the lease. Traditionally, these chromebooks are used for spare part for in-house repairs.
