Summary:
Starting FY23 kindergarten students will be using a new touchscreen model chromebook. This was a common theme expressed by many elementary buildings. Many buildings also believed that it was not necessary for kindergartners to transport a device to and from school with them everyday. A small group of teachers piloted devices and selected a model that they thought appropriated for their learning environment. Therefore, kindergarten will not be 1:1 with devices and instead will have smaller sets that stay within each classroom for more station type work. The district's e-learning plan will be updated accordingly not to require a device should the district need to call an e-learning day.

Funding:
The total expense for this purchase is $90,613.75 and will be part of our lease to own cycle. This model will remain on the same purchase cycle as the rest of the elementary level chromebooks.
