According to Board Policy 8.80, the Board, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, must accept all gifts individuals or organizations contribute to the District if they are $500 or more in value.

Summary:
|
WNHS has received a generous donation of $900.00 from Dr. Tracy Scott designated for the Joyce Luckett Prism Award. This award is dedicated to the former WNHS teacher and Prism founder Mrs. Luckett who dedicated her life to excellence in education and the celebration of diversity in our schools. This scholarship is for college expenses and is given to a student who best represents academic improvement and social acceptance of others. By accepting this donation, WNHS transfers ownership of any items purchased and relinquishes to District 200 the responsibility for maintenance, repair, insurance and any liability incurred in the use of the items.
