Background
|
In December 2021, The Board of Education approved a pavement rehabilitation contract with Evans & Son, Inc. for a project at Wheaton-Warrenville High School in the Summer of 2022. The contract award was for a total of $874,079.98

Summary:
|
The pavement rehabilitation project at Wheaton Warrenville South in the summer of 2022 was interrupted by a local strike that disrupted access to materials required for the work as per the contract. CUSD 200, along with Legat (architect) and Evans & Son, Inc. found alternate materials that allowed the work to completed within the time frame defined in the contract (8/5/2022). The cost of the alternate materials, in conjunction with other approved change orders pushed the total cost of the project over the original budget by $12,968.40. All of the work has been completed in full and the contract has been fulfilled.
