Policy:
Background The Board of Education sets the reimbursement rate for business mileage based on the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) rate which is issued each year. The rate for the second half of 2022 (7/1-12/31/22) was $0.625 per mile driven.

Summary: The IRS announced that the standard business mileage rate for transportation beginning January 1, 2023 be set at $0.655 per mile driven. It is recommended that effective January 1, 2023 the rate of reimbursement be set at the current IRS rate.
