Background According to Board Policy 8.80, the Board, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, must accept all gifts individuals or organizations contribute to the District if they are $500 or more in value.

Summary: Madison Elementary School has received a generous donation of an instrument, a quarter size cello, from the family of Don Henry Smith. This instrument will benefit the Madison Elementary School's orchestra program. The estimated value of the item is $800.00. By donating this item, ownership is transferred to District 200 as is the responsibility for maintenance, repair, insurance and any liability incurred in the use of the items donated.
