Policy:
Background According to Board Policy 8.80, the Board, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, must accept all gifts individuals or organizations contribute to the District if they are $500 or more in value.

Summary: Washington PTA purchased or funded the following for the benefit of the students and staff of Washington: Miscellaneous equipment and supplies for Music, Recess, P.E. and various school clubs; books and t-shirts; school assemblies and events; and grade level field trip programs and transportation costs. The total cost of the aforementioned items is $15,770.51. By donating these items, Washington PTA transfers ownership of the items and relinquishes to District 200 the responsibility for maintenance, repair, insurance and any liability incurred in the use of the items donated.
