According to Board Policy 8.80, the Board, on the recommendation of the Superintendent, must accept all gifts individuals or organizations contribute to the District if they are $500 or more in value.

Summary:
|
Monroe Middle School has received a generous donation of $5,000.00 from a private donor who wishes to remain anonymous. This donation is intended for the Monroe Band Program and will be allocated to the goals of the music program, including acquiring new instruments for the program. By accepting this donation, Monroe transfers ownership of any items purchased and relinquishes to District 200 the responsibility for maintenance, repair, insurance and any liability incurred in the use of the items donated.
