Background
Xerographic bond paper (white copy paper) is used throughout the district for both copy machines and computer printers. Paper is purchased as needed and delivered to each district location. In December 2023, the Board approved a bid from Garvey’s Office Products for xerographic bond paper, for $34.90 per case, and this 6-month contract expires on June 30, 2024.

Xerographic Bond Paper Bid - FINAL RESULTS 5.31.24.pdf
Summary
:
As the national supply and demand of paper continue to fluctuate, it was determined that a 6-month contract (versus a 12-month) for the paper was better served and would attract more vendors. We specified four (4) acceptable brands of 20 lb. white, 8 ½” x 11” paper in the bid document: Boise X-9, Comet, Domtar Copy, and Hammermill Tidal. All of these brands have been tested in district machines, and all work well. We estimate our 6-month usage to be approximately 2,000 cases.
Legal notice was published and bid packages for a 6-month contract were sent to potential vendors. Three (3) vendors responded to the bid. Garvey’s Office Products submitted a bid of $36.00 per case for Boise X-9 paper as the lowest responsible responsive bid. This price is good until December 31, 2024.
