Background
Core network switches route internet traffic throughout the district.
File Attachment:
Summary:
ATT is willing to increase our internet throughput to 100GB on our current circuit free of charge. We are currently at 10 GB. To handle this additional throughput, DoIT needs to purchase new core switches. 100 GB speeds will enable our network to move at an optimal speed as data transfer sizes continue to increase across the district.
Funding:
The cost of new core switches is $52,936.24 and is accounted for in the the DoIT department budget. The quote also includes an additional line item for installation and configuration services but these will not be invoiced at this time but will invoiced at some point in the following fiscal year.
