Background
|
Organic Life, LLC is under contract with the district for management of K-12 food services under the National School Lunch Program (NSLP). The District will be completing the first year of a five-year contract renewal option, which expires on June 30, 2025.

Summary:
|
As part of the renewal process, the Board of Education can annually approve the contract renewal up to the full five-year length of the contract.
According to the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE), we are allowed by the USDA to negotiate rates for the 2025-2026 school year and approve based on mutual agreement. The price increase must not exceed the most recent Consumer Price Index (CPI) for Urban Consumers – All, which has been set at 2.9% for December 2024. Organic Life has proposed an increase of 2.9%
