Background
|
The administration prioritized seven (7) tuckpointing projects to be completed this summer. These projects are included in the capital plan and were reviewed by the Facilities Committee prior to bidding. Bids were structured into two base bids, with several alternates, which would allow us the ability to stay within our overall budget.

Summary:

The bid opening was held on November 30, 2021. Fourteen (14) contractors obtained bid packages, and ten (10) contractors responded. The base bid was for work at Edison and Lincoln, with alternate bids requested for additional work at Lincoln, Whittier and Monroe. Attached is a letter from Legat Architects recommending April Building Services, Inc. as the lowest responsible bidder for Base Bid 1 and alternate package in the amount of $259,800.
