Background
|
The administration prioritized two (2) roofing projects to be completed this summer due to the age and poor condition of these roofs. These projects are included in the capital plan and were reviewed and recommended by the Board Facilities Committee prior to bidding. Bids were structured with a base bid at Wheaton Warrenville South and alternate bids for Wheaton North and Lincoln Elementary, which would allow us to maximize the work and stay within our annual budget allotment for 2022 capital facility project

Summary:
|
The bid opening was held on November 30, 2021. Twenty-one (21) contractors picked up the bid package and seven (7) responded. The base bid is for work at Wheaton Warrenville South. Attached is a letter from Legat Architects recommending Olsson Roofing as the lowest responsible bidder for the Base Bid and alternate #3 in the amount of $397,500.
